A New Method for Forecasting Market Concentration and Its Application

摘要：

HHI and CRn are widely applied to measure market concentration.According to the definitions of these two indices,this paper proposes a new method based on the compositional data that not only can forecast the future value of concentration,but also can depict future market structure in detail.The application in the life insurance market of China obtains pleasant results and has verified the effectiveness of this new approach.
