Effect of Ginsenoside Rg1 on PP-DG Long Term Potentiation in Rat

摘要：

The aim of present paper is to observe the effect of ginsenoside Rg1 on long term potentation and the mechanism of its action.Anesthetic and freely-moving rats were employed in this study.The results showed that Rg1 could improve the synaptic transmission significantly.Many receptor antagonisms were used to examine the mechanism of LTP reinforcement induced by Rg1.The results showed that NMDA receptor and metabotropic glutamate receptors play an important role in the induction of LTP induced by Rg1.
