Natural health products are believed to have significant benefits for human chronic health conditions.However,their potentials have not yet fully exploited due to the lack of high quality products and much-needed scientific evidence to support their health benefits.Canada is the worlds largest producer of North American ginseng,with the bulk of the crop being grown in Ontario.Ginseng cultivated in North America (NA) is a heterogeneous mix of genetic material originally collected from wild populations.
