Air Conditioning for the Dulux ORICA New Building in Melbourne,Australia
This paper introduces the new four-storey Dulux ORICA building in Clayton,Victoria,Australia, which has been designed to meet the six star (best) rating of the Green Building Council of Australia. The energy consumption at the end of the one-year commissioning period will be used to determine its star rating. The mission is to use least energy while providing optimum comfort. The building has a special wider-top architecture that helps to shade the glass windows from the suns rays, while providing good outdoor views on the North and South sides.Day light also enters the building through windows at the middle portion of the East and West walls. The paper discusses six features of comfort for its 300 occupants and seven items to save energy.
