Brief Introduction of Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Tibet Autonomous Region

The design standard for energy efficiency was achieved by this study in order to improve indoor thermal environmental of residential buildings in Tibet Autonomous Region.Focus on the rich solar energy in this area,the study proposed a heating way that combines passive solar heating and active solar heating to resolve residential building heating problem.This heating way not only improved indoor thermal environmental but also reduced energy consumption of buildings.By comparing of different schemes,main content and energy conservation goal was determined.There are two methods in the standard to assess energy property of the designed building which named prescription index and performance index.It also proposed a new factor called solar saving fraction (SSF) as a main factor to evaluate building thermal performance.The establishment and implementation of the design standard for energy efficiency of residential buildings will have a profound significance in promoting sustainable development and enhancing thermal environment of residential buildings.
