Fire Safety for Public Transport Interchanges in Hong Kong

摘要：

Fire safety for public transport interchanges (PTIs) will be discussed in this paper.Related standards and codes are reviewed.It is observed that performance-based design is necessary for providing fire safety.PTIs in Hong Kong are selected as example to discuss the possibility of applying performance-based design.Fire safety application will be identified with reference to its architectural design characteristics.The possible fire risk in PTIs is discussed with relevant fire safety strategies outlined.
