Economical Match of Radiators and Water Source Heat Pump Hybrid Heating System

A plan was adopted using existing clean geothermal energy to satisfy the heating demand (mainly for animals) of Tianjin Zoo in winter.A hybrid heating system was proposed. In this system, the geothermal water is first pumped to each house through the pipe network, flowing through the existing radiators. Then after releasing heat, the tail water goes into the water source heat pump to discharge more heat. Finally, when its temperature is about 10 degrees Centigrade, the tail water is discharged.BIN method was used to calculate the heat load of the whole heating seasons.Life cycle costs of three running modes were analyzed.Mode Ⅰ with return water temperature of 33 degrees Centigrade was found to be the most economical scheme with a total fee of 5.6 million Yuan, while costs of mode Ⅱ and mode Ⅲ were 6.13 and 7.1 million Yuan, respectively. The economical match of the radiators and heat pump was determined according to the outlet flow temperature of the radiator,namely,33 degrees Centigrade.
