Investigation on Air-flow Fields in Air Side Heat Exchanger of an Air Source Heat Pump Heater/Chiller
The three dimensional air-flow fields in the air side heat exchanger of an air source heat pump heater/chiller was studied by computational fluid dynamics(CFD).Numerical results were testified by the experiments. The influence of intersect angle and average face velocity on the air-flow fields were investigated respectively, the results showed the followings: the face velocity distribution along the heat exchanger height was non-uniform; The air-flow fields was determined by the heat exchanger construction; The air flow maldistribution might affect the fin using life; The intersect angle value was the main factor affecting the air velocity malditribution degree. When the intersect angle was 90,the air velocity maldistribution degree was the least; The maximum of air velocity moved downwards along the heat exchanger height direction with intersect angle increasing. The maximum of air velocity occurred at the middle location of heat exchanger when the intersect angle was 90.
