Research on Energy Saving Effect and No Cross Contamination Characteristic for the Rotary Type Total Heat Exchanger
A rotary total heat exchanger can recover both of the sensible heat and the latent heat of the air-conditioning exhaust at the same time,so it is widely used as energy-saving devices for air-conditioning in buildings fresh air ventilation system.In this paper the energy saving effect and economic benefits for the rotary type total heat exchanger used in the air conditioning air-interchange system are analyzed with an engineering example.The investment can be collected for about 2.5 years because of the profit of energy saving by use the total heat exchanger,for example in HuaZhong region.Certainly,when the total heat exchanger is adopted,the load of the fresh air is lowered,so the load of cooling and heat input becomes small.But,the calculation of above-mentioned investment is rarely considered.Therefore,in the design stage we should plan in a whole about total heat exchanges and HVAC,to gain greater economic effect of the energy saving.In this paper,the mechanism of cross contamination in current total heat exchanger is also analyzed.In addition we have done experiment research to the cross contamination characteristic of the total heat exchanger.The heat exchangers using ion exchange resin as a desiccant can not occur cross contamination for 10 kinds of indoor VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).
