Construction and Design of a Hybrid Air Conditioning System for Residential Buildings with High Comfort and Low Energy Consumption

New technologies of air conditioning,such as ground-source heat pump,radiant cooling & heating and displacement ventilation,are widely used in Europe due to its advantages of energy saving,friendly environment and good comfort.Liquid desiccant air conditioning system with independent humidity control has gradually got popularized in China.In this paper,a hybrid air conditioning system integrated with all these new technologies was constructed.Principles and characteristics on each component were discussed in details and main points of engineering design were described.Moreover,the feature of energy consumption and thermal comfort of the hybrid system were analyzed.This hybrid air conditioning system,in which treatment and control of air temperature and moisture are done independently,with high quality and low energy consumption,accords with sustainable development completely and is suitable for buildings in which high performance about thermal comfort and energy consumption is demanded,especially for residential buildings.
