Daylight and Urban Forms - Synergy or Contradiction?
Access to solar radiation in the architectural and urban environments (direct and diffuse,including high intensities and natural dynamics) is an important health issue,from a hygienic,as well as from psycho-physiological point of view.This article deals with the benefits and problematic effects of mandatory sunlight/daylight performance criteria incorporation into the buildings design and urban planning.Presented information is based mainly on climate conditions and sunlight/daylight legislation in Slovakia.
