Discussions on the Application of Fangers Thermal Comfort Theory

摘要：

Physiological study indicates that people will be efficient in thermal comfort condition.So the significance of studying thermal comfort is not only to satisfy human comfort,but also to improve human productivity and save energy.Many people calculate thermal comfort with PMV-PPD equations though Fangers thermal comfort theory has been applied in many fields.They misuse and abuse the PMV-PPD index and deduce some inaccurate conclusions.Therefore Fangers thermal comfort theory and the constraint conditions are introduced in this paper.The application range of comfort theory is confirmed by analyzing the process of deducing it.Its very hard to give a consummate theory to evaluate thermal comfort,since it is a subjective sensation parameter which contains physiology,psychics,sociology and physics environment etc.It will be a long way for the theory to be modified and supplemented.With the great progress of interrelated subjects,there have been many different viewpoints and experiment evidences in the latest thermal comfort theories which require supplying and modifying Fangers theory.Those are also introduced in the paper.
