Measurements of Outdoor Thermal Environment in Apartment Complex in Summer
High-rise and high density in building has recently caused the problem of Urban Heat Island. For that reason, microclimate research is recently becoming more important as it is known that urban climate influences human activity largely. The purpose of this study is to carry out fundamental data needed for reducing the external thermal environment when designing cities and planning apartment complexes. The green space and water space arrangement can reduce the heat island effect and can create a climate comfort zone. This study focused on measuring and analyzing outdoor air temperature, humidity, and wind velocity in apartment complex according to the space features.
