Measurement of and Research on Indoor Air Quality of the Modern Bamboo House in China
With the development of economy and the improvement of peoples living standard, the green building has set off an upsurge in Chinas current building market. This paper focuses on the three-month on-the-spot measurement of the indoor air of a new type of architecture, the bamboo house,to analyze its indoor air quality.Through sampling indoor and outdoor air and analyzing the organic ingredients of the air sample by using gas chromatograph (GC),the concentration of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) and eight selected volatile organic compounds (VOCs),including benzene, toluene and so on,can be identified. The results show that in all the sampling locations the concentration of TVOC gradually decreases with the passage of time but the rate does not remain very consistent. The effectiveness of GC as a means of indoor air pollution and the high air quality of the new style of building are also detected in this paper.
