Building Energy Consumption and Emissions of GHGs and Air Pollutants in Japan and China
We had esimated the energy consumption of building sector in Japan by building type,by energy type (fuel type and electricity),by building type, energy use purpose and by regions (prefecture and big city) as well as emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants. For future projection and emission reduction estimation by options or policies we prepared more detail splitting system onto building age (construction year),building size and type of HVAC space cooling or heating refrigerators or boilers.Similar energy and emission data for housing (domestic sector) in China is developed, however it is difficult to develop similar data for non domestic buildings in China by building type.In this study we try to estimate non-domestic building energy consumption in China even though unreliable result, and we compare structure of energy consumption and emissions between Japan and China. This comparison analysis would make clear present situation for emission reduction in the two countries and it would provide fundamental knowledge for climate change policies in East Asia.
