Research on Cooperative Quality Management in Supply Chain

To improve product quality from the perspective of supply chain,this article use game theory to study the mechanism of cooperative quality management in a typical two- echelon supply chain in two different situations.First it discusses the traditional cooperative quality management situation,in which the manufacturer and the supplier determine their own efforts on quality management in the supply chain respectively.Obviously,this situation is a Nash game process.Next it introduces the situation,in which the manufacturer provides positive subsidy to the supplier on raw materials quality management input.Obviously,this situation is a Stackelberg game process.By comparing the game equilibrium results in the two situations,it shows that the latter situation is superior to the former situation on the view the performance of the whole supply chain if some conditions are met.This article can provide decision support basis on subsidy strategy for the core manufacturer in supply chain.
