An AHP Modeling to Selecting Sub-Contractors in Global Container Transportation
Global container transportation is a very complex system,by which the coordinate organization and alliance among all kinds of transportation modes and among all participants of the whole network is an objective requirement.To maximize the potential benefits and minimize the dangers of outsourcing,it is very important thing for global container transportation operator to select proper sub-contractor.Thus,the evaluation system for selecting sub-contractor in global container transportation is built in the paper.In accordance with the characters of global container transportation,the evaluation criteria to choose sub-contractor in global container transportation are considered,such as cost,transportation efficiency,management and service,technical level,personnel quality,goods and materials strength,and the corresponding indexes are also created accordingly based on the six evaluation criteria.And then,the appraising model for selecting the proper sub-contractor in global container transportation based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed.At last,it gives an example to utilize AHP approach,of which the results are quite reasonable and practicable.
