Dynamical Behaviors of a Predator-prey System with Impulsive Release of Natural Enemy
In this paper, a predator-prey system with impulsive release of predator (natural enemy) is investigated. It is observed that there exists a globally asymptotically stable pest-eradication periodic solution on condition that the amount of predators released periodically is larger than some critical value. When the amount of predators released is less than this critical value, the system is shown to be permanent, which implies that the trivial pest-eradication solution loses its stability. For the purpose of pest (prey)control, we must release natural enemy larger than the critical value.
