The Self-analysis of Highway Less-than-truckload Cargo Transportation Transform into Third-party Logistics
With the development of third-party logistics and the participation in the competition in logistics market for large-scale foreign logistics companies in China,the cargo owners are putting forward a higher and higher requirement for logistics services.The traditional Highway LTL enterprises,which are single in logistics function,cannot adapt to the new situation that the market demand for logistics service is increasingly diversified and personalized.As the enterprises providing logistics services specially,the 3PL enterprises can integrate seven major logistics function based on the actual needs,and then provide the best service for customer with the optimal total cost.It has become the effective paths to meet market demand and strengthen the competitive power for Highway LTL to transform into 3PL.Considering the problems existing in the traditional Highway LTL,this paper firstly analyzes the significance of the transformation from Highway LTL to 3PL,then brings out three kinds of transformation modes: logistics centre,Express and integrated 3PL enterprises.In the end,it is brought forward by PEST and SWOT for a self-analysis of Highway LTL in the process of the transformation.Meanwhile,a further study will be given on the state of market competition with Porters model which includes five factors,affecting the market competitive power.
