The Researches on Particle/Droplet Image Analysis Technique for Agricultural Electrostatic Spraying Field

In order to study the spray characteristics of ESS greenhouse electrostatic sprayers, the agricultural electrostatic spray field was tested and analyzed form the aspect of spraying width, diameter and velocity distributions of droplets in greenhouse using PDIA measurement system and analysis technique. The range of spray particle size, distribution of droplet diameter are obtained in different spray distance. The results indicated that along the nozzle axis, the farther the distance form the nozzle is, the smaller the electrostatic droplet diameter is, And its distributions are more symmetrical; The droplet size is smaller in the middle and bigger on both sides along with the transverse axis; The spray particle size ranged from 4.4 μm to 31.2 μm. In addition, the velocity of droplet for vertical spraying were measured, the size-velocity correlation characteristics were revealed at different spray distance. It provides a basis gist for ESS electrostatic sprayers. The experimental result also shows that PDIA technique is accurate and excellent method for measurement agricultural electrostatic spray field.
