Skin Effect of High Frequency Copper Bus Bar

Copper bus bars high frequency characters are different from lower frequency circumstance. A novel analyze method of the bus bars skin effect is presented to obtain its resistance variation at high frequency circuit. The main analyze method is to calculate the quantitative depth of skin effect. In complex plane the rectangle copper bus bars surface layer current is treated by conformal transforms and Schwarts transforms to obtain conductor skin effect loss. With the complete elliptic integral, skin effect rate is converted to conductor resistance. By deduced a example of copper bus bars resistance at various temperature and various frequency circumstance, the temperature and frequency response of resistance are acquired, when the frequency of source current become higher then before,the bus bars resistance raise rapidly due to the skin effect.
