The Feasibility Study for MicroGrid in China
Integrating with current situation in the domestic power system, the principal aim of this paper is to investigate an alternative concept: the energy production by small-scale generators in close proximity to the energy users, integrated into MicroGrid (MG) in China. To this purpose, Based on Chinese generator technologies, current regulatory framework, the paper outlines overview of ongoing MG in the world, discussing the technical and economic issues associated with MG in China, and giving the barriers to be overcome if MG is to make a major contribution to the Chinese energy supply.
