Simulation and Test of Vehicle Dynamic Performance
Vehicle dynamic performance of driver-vehicle-environment closed loop system became more and more important with the increase of vehicle speed. In order to obtain vehicle dynamic performance accurately, two methods are adopted generally, one is computer dynamic simulation method, which can quickly simulate vehicle dynamic performance at different conditions, but the correctness of vehicle model need to verify using vehicle test; the other method is vehicle test in special proving ground, which can reflect vehicle actual performance, but it will cost much time, money, and safety of test is difficult to guarantee when vehicle run in high speed. So two methods are needed coordination use. This paper use pylon course slalom experiment as an example to shows how to obtain vehicle dynamic performance using two above methods, finally the simulation curves and test curves were compared, and the comparison results shows there are consistent.
