Analysis on Resource Utilization of Linum Usitatissimum Stalks by Py-GC/MS

As the global textile and oil plant with significant economic value, Linum usitatissimum is widely planted in many countries and applicable to industry, agriculture and husbandry, medicines,foods and so on. Therefore, Py-GC/MS was used to analyze and obtain the bioactive components from Linum usitatissimum stalks. Relative content of each component was determined by area normalization,and 21 compounds representing 99.98% were identified. The main and abundant constituents were carbon dioxide (23.44%), acetic acid (13.38%), 1,6-anhydro-.beta.-D-glucopyranose (10.72%), ethylene oxide (9.1%), butane (8.74%), 1-propanol (6.2%), heptane, 3-methylene- (5.35%),2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroanisole (5.31%), 1-hexanol, 2-ethyl- (4.45%), etc. So pyrolysis product of Linum usitatissimum straw could be used to bioenergy, bio-pesticides, expensive chemicals, and so on.
