Experimental Research on Mesh Network Forming
The networking experiments were conducted in laboratory with the MICAz ZigBee (MTS310) of Crossbow and Mesh Routing Protocol to research the network performance under the network scale of 5 nodes, 10 nodes, 15 nodes and 20 nodes. An improvement of its performance both in scalability and self-organizing can be archived by adopting the modified Mesh Routing Protocol. The performance of QOS(Quality of Service), including Lose Rate, Retransfer ratio, the Communication Link Quality depreciated with network scale extending. The topology formation time, the topology stabilization time and the topology reconstruction time was prolonged with the network scale extending under different network scales. New nodes did little effects on routing performance of steady wireless sensor networks.
