The Reinforce Techniques of the Six Banyan Flowery Pagoda

The Six Banyan Flowery Pagoda(Liu Rong Flowery Pagoda)stands magnificently in the centre of the Liu Rong Temple,which is a famous ancient temple with a long history at Guangzhou city.By the natural and artificial affects,there have been a lot of cracks in the pagoda,parts of the body were ruined,especially the pagoda had inclined gradually.A project to renovate the pagoda were in progress in 2000.This paper introduces the new reinforcement techiques and methods,such as fibre reinforced polymers(FRP),chemical grouting,antieorrosion eot.to protect the pagoda.It is testified to apply these new methods to consolidate ancient relics and historical architecture such as pagoda to be available.
