Reinforcement and Protection of Earth Sites in the Silk Road of China
The paper focus on an introduction of the earth sites located on the ancient silk road in northwest of China and analyzes the diseases inflicting the earth sites;By taking the example of the Jiaohe Ruins in Turban district,the paper discusses the reinforcing material of PS solution,chemical reinforcing methods against the wind and rain erosion,anchoring and crevasses grouting to dangerous soilmass,and back-filling and patching-up the eroded parts of the earth site,etc.Particularly,the paper probes the mechanism of reinforcing earth sites with PS solution by analyzing the soil samples with x-diffraction,measuring the degree of crystallization and testing them with electric scanning mirror and transmission mirror.
