Site Management and Monitoring of World Cultural Heritages Based on Their Value-A Case Study of the Mogao Grottoes

摘要：

Taking the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes as an case example,this paper focuses on its value,emphasizes the importance of management and monitoring in conservation,discusses the main content of the site management,and expounds systematically the monitoring system at the Mogao Grottoes centered on environment,cultural relics,safeguards and visitors investigations.The management and monitoring of the Mogao Grottoes are of great importance for preserving the authenticity of all the elements of the entire heritage site and retaining for the future its historic information and all its values.
