Experimental Investigation on Noise Level in Terminal Air Conditioning Unit
Noise level is an important parameter in air conditioning terminal unit.In order to get a quiet and comfortable room condition,some methods for controlling the noise level of terminal unit are discussed and the sound pressure level for Fan-coil unit and Variable air volume (VAV)handling unit are investigated separately in this paper.The A-weighted sound pressure level measuring method and test condition are specified according to the test standards for national code.The performance parameters are compared with different air output or different refrigerating capacity for some type of terminal units.Based on the experimental date and analysis results,the conclusions are come to.For most terminal units multifarious sound sources and transmission paths can cause noise problems in rooms.For sound source control,it is necessary to getting a reasonable match of the products internal structure design.For sound transmission path control,getting a well combination for the unit installation in a room or a building is also important.
