Analytical Study of the Balance Relationship between Agricultural Water Resources and Crop Cultivation Structure in Jiangsu Province
The balance relationship between agricultural water resources and crop cultivation structure was studied in this paper through analyzing the recent considerable changes of agricultural water resources and crop cultivation system in Jiangsu Province.Results showed that there existed the intimate relationship between agricultural water consumption and crop cultivation system: the crop cultivation system was mainly composed of rice and vegetables would lead agricultural water supply to fall shortly of demand.There was continuous and rapid increases of both cultivation area and cultivation proportion of vegetables counts to another factor besides rice which influences the fluctuation of agriculture water consumption.The relationship between agriculture water consumption and crop cultivation structure,as well as the one between agriculture water consumption change and crop cultivation structure adjustment further suggests that if agriculture water consumption is prominently reduced,it is needed to adjust planting area of rice and vegetables,adopt water-saving irrigation system and popularize agricultural water-saving technology.
