The Experiment on Improvement of the Quality of Crop High-efficieney Using Water by Moisture Control
Crops quality is closely related with external ambient temperature,moisture,illumination,applied fertilizer and all soil factors.The changes of environment conditions can influence the crops quality.The crops qualities of cotton,corn,water-melon,cucumber,tomato and pear-jujube were tested in the past 4 years.It showed that water regulation made cottons fiber length and lint improve 13.05% and 12.53%,made starch and total sugar in corn seed increase by 1.85% and 4.45% respectively.Water deficit improved amino acid and soluble solids content,which made the jujube taste sweeter.Partial irrigation in root zone made vitamin C,soluble sugar and total sugar in tomato rised by 19.48%,29.48% and 34.65% respectively.It is proposed that the principle on the crop high-efficiently regulating the quality with water based on the signal of water-lacking and environmental information.In other words,through control the water supply in some bear stages may improve the products quality,and improve the quality without influencing the crops yield.This achievement offers the,theory support for opening up the new effective water-saving way to crop.
