Study on a novel ring-type standing-wave linear Ultrasonic Motor
In this paper,a novel ring-type standing-wave linear USM is presented.The substructure of the ibrator is a metal square-ring beam which cross section is rectangular.The vibrator which has two ontract surfaces for power output is connected with the engine base by flexure hinges.The physical dimension of the motor is 29mm × 26mm × 4mm.The working modes are B9 in-plane bending vibration modes,which have almost the same frequencies and can be used to realize movement of forward and backward using the same power supply.The working principle is analyzed.The vibrator of the motor is optimized.The prototype is manufactured and experimental investigated,which is offered as heoretical basis for designing the ring-type standing-wave linear USM.
