Research on Cylindrical Ultrasonic Motor Based on Elimination of Linear Slipping
This paper discusses the linear slipping on the contact surface between the stator and rotor with the purpose of efficiency improvement of the cylindrical ultrasonic motor.Firstly, the valid elliptic motion and linear slipping, obtained by decomposing the elliptic motion of the particle on the stator, are analyzed. The results show that there is no linear slipping on the middle point of cylindrical surface of the stator. However, the amplitude at the middle point is less than the one at he endpoint, which will cause the waste of vibration energy. In order to change the distribution of vibration amplitude, the shape of stator is altered and the amplitude distribution is analyzed by means of the harmonic response analyses of ANSYS.
