An Improved Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks
Energy efficiency is an important design issue that can prolong the effective lifetime of a network with a limited energy supply.Clustering technique has been proven to be an effective approach for reducing energy eonsuraption.It also can increase the sealability and lifetime of the network.In this paper,we propose an improved cluster formation algorithm for wireless sensor networks according to considering the energy as an optimization parameter.Compared to the algorithm in Ref2,the ACE-CILP algodthrn increase the cluster head election mechanism,and the simulation results show that ACE-CILP algorithm achieves its intention of consuming less energy,equalizing the energy consumnption of all the nodes,as .well as extending the network lifetime perfectly.
