Effect of Oil Mixing on the Pool Nucleate Boiling Heat Transfer Coefficient of Natural Refrigerant CO2
This paper reports measurements for the effect of polyalkyleneglycol(PAG) oil on the heat transfer coefficients of carbon dioxide(CO2) under the conditions of pool nucleate boiling. The measurements have been conducted by means of a horizontal platinum wire at a saturation temperature of 278 K and at relatively low oil concentrations from 0 to 2 mass%. The present results show that the pool nucleate boiling heat transfer coefficient for the mixtures of CO2 and PAG oil decreases dramatically with increasing oil-concentration up to 2 mass%.
