A Dynamic Model of a Scroll Compressor
The principal aim of this paper is the study of the dynamic behaviour of a scroll compressor.Scroll compressors are frequently used in refrigeration and air conditioning.The study of the dynamic model of this type of component is fundamental to identify opportune input power control laws in order to obtain energy savings.Generally,it is difficult to analyse its dynamic behaviour because the compressor mathematical model is represented by means of non linear partial differential equations.For this reason in this paper the scroll compressor is studied considering energy balances both for the entire and the partial compressor.The model results are then compared,under different working conditions,with the experimental ones obtained using a vapour compression plant working both as refrigeration system and heat pump.
