Application of GIS in the city environmental evaluation

摘要：

City environment has been an important subject which is getting more and more important.Especially since the 20th century,with the development of production,the pollution of city environment is becoming worse and worse,which made people realize this problem clearly.In order to research the apphcation of GIS in environmental evaluation of city,the definition,classification,applied range,and the advantage and application used in the city environment are introduced in this paper.Based on the above advantages,the secondary development of GIS can be made by using the software Mapinfo and its own language Map Basic,designing the basic program of its using in the city environment.According to the basic environmental knowledge,the module analysis and synthesis evaluation to the pollution sources in the city environment are done.Finally an instance is successfully applied in the GIS city environment.
