A mathematic model of time-dependent surface subsidence of coal mining work-out area
Time-dependent surface subsidence of coal mining work-out area is of great importance to design the mining process properly and choose good prevention methods for surface structures to ensure the engineering safety.First, mathematic analysis on traditional subsidence models, namely Knothe model and Logistic model,is conducted, and deficiencies of the two traditional models are revealed.Second, one new surface subsidence model based on Weibull function is proposed, which overcomes the deficiencies of the two traditional models. Both subsidence rate and subsidence acceleration of the new proposed model can fit well with the theory mechanic analysis.Knothe model is one degradation expression of the proposed model. Finally, accuracy and application of the presented model are proved by two field investigations.
