Improved grey prediction model for land subsidence at finished underground mining
Underground mining is one of the causes of land subsidence. The process of the land subsidence caused by underground mining is complicated and systematicness.Accurate prediction the land subsidence has important practical or immediate significance to avoid the damage to land subsidence.Grey system theory was applied extensively and had gained a series of achievements, but our preliminary study shows that the general GM(1,1) model was inadequate to handle land subsidence prediction as its only adapt to the data with exponential law,and the defect was the coefficients choice of α and (X)(1)(1)in prediction formula.According to the defect,an improved grey-based land subsidence predictor is promoted by applying the transformed grey model and the concept of average system slope. The adaptive value of α in the grey differential equation is obtained quickly with the average slope technique. The example shows that the prediction accuracy has been improved quite a lot in comparison with general grey model.
