Analysis of open pit slope under excavation unloading
In surface mining project, there is a great deal of excavation of natural rock masses,At present, most of slope stability analysis adopt routine parameters, models and methods of loading conditions, which are different from the unloading condition of real excavation process, especially in open pit slope excavation. In this thesis, the loading and unloading process of open pit slope were analyzed, whose results showed that the different stress and strain path in the loading and unloading process of rock mass could lead to different response of excavating slope.Based on this research, the finite element model applying nonlinear elastic-plastic material was established, the stress and displacement field under excavation and non-excavation was respectively analyzed. The result showed that the simulation considering unloading effect in excavation could properly reflect the real unloading mechanisms of excavating slope. Therefore, the stability analysis of open pit slope applying excavation unloading rock mass mechanics was more accurate and reasonable.
