Numerical analysis and safety evaluation of high & steep slope stability

In allusion to high & steep slope stability in ChangBa Opencast Mine and its landslide possibility,primary effect factors of slope stability were analyzed firstly based on local monitor datum,and key factors were found out by the four factors and three level orthogonal experiment.Then FLAC was applied to compute utmost status based on rockmass intensity parameters in this paper,a series of intensity parameters,corresponding displacements and safety factors were got.Finally,displacements and safety factors fitting functions,and slope safety factor values of the 1052m flat roof were attained by regression method.Results of orthogonal experiment and numerical analysis indicate as follows: 1) Dynamic pressure and water penetration are two key factors which effect on the ChangBa slope stability;2) Displacements of slope and intensity parameters of rockmass are nonlinear relation ;3) Safe coefficients of ChangBa slope are less than 1,and this slope lies in unstable status.Some rational proposes to high & steep slope safety also were put forward.
