A frame of knowledge-based consulting system for sulfide ore spontaneous combustion forecast
This paper describes a frame of knowledge-based consulting system used for the assessment and forecast of spontaneous combustion of sulfide ores in underground mine.The system is based on a large number of laboratorial and field research results in this area for more than a decade.The system is composed of control centre,inference machine,interpreter,knowledge bases,knowledge acquisition,and input and output sections.The knowledge bases contain several important knowledge sub-bases,such as sulfide ore properties,mining factors,geological information,fire mechanism,fire cases and fire control measures.These knowledge bases are manufactured with the assistance of the fault tree analysis technique.In conjunction with the risk assessment and the fire pre-estimation mathematical model,the system is able to define self-heating potential,suggests recommendations and strategies,and outputs other recommendations and strategies against the spontaneous combustion of sulfide ores,and output other relevant conclusions.Besides,the system is capable of accessing the databases and performing data retrieval and updating operations.With the help of this system,mine engineers can select correct mining method and adopt a series of effective measures quickly and conveniently to avoid spontaneous combustion risk of sulfide ores.
