SEISMIC DESIGN OF MONOLAYER CABLE NET IN POINT-SUPPORTING GLASS STRUCTURE OF NATIONAL NETWORK ADMINISTRATION CENTER
In the past decades, it tends to become a fashion in the realm of glass wall that pre-stressed monolayer cable net is employed in point-supporting glass structure. As a flexible supporting system, its pre-stress and visible geometric nonlinearity makes its design much more difficult, especially the seismic design. Under earthquake actions, it is undoubted that the seisimic response of cable net will be affected by the behavior of main building. That is to say, the second earthquake input co-exists with the direct earthquake action. In view of the scarcity of study on its anti-seismic properties, this paper focus on the seismic response and seismic design of monolayer cable net applied in the project of National Network Administration Center. Combined with three kinds of seismic design methods (i.e., time-history method, equivalent static method, response spectrum method), the analysis of its seismic response was carried out with the conclusions that displacement response of the structure is relatively great while the internal force response is small,especially for the horizontal cable. Furthermore, the comparison of the methods brings home to us that time history method is an appropriate method for its seismic response analysis. And the author suggested that applicable seismic design method of monolayer cable net, within the affects of the main building, should be studied and proposed later. Meanwhile, this paper studied the earthquake resistance behavior of cable net subjected to earthquake with some referred results for future research and design.
