RESEARCH ON THE MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR AND NORMAL SECTION FAILURE MODE OF REACTIVE POWDER CONCRETE SLAB
Based on the bending moment-curvature curve, the full-range mechanical behavior of RPC slab is analyzed, and the result is compared with those of C30~C80 concrete slabs. The influence of some parameters on RPC slab behaviors such as ratio and yielding strength of tensile reinforcement, and thickness of slab are analyzed. The results indicate that under the same conditions, the cracking bending moment of RPC slab almost reaches the yielding bending moment of traditional concrete slab, under the same bearing capacity, the thickness of the RPC slab can be reduced more than 20% than that of the traditional concrete slab. In the normal range of reinforcement ratio, the ultimate bearing capacity of RPC slab is not controlled by material strength, but the plastic deformation; if the ratio of longitudinal tensile reinforcement is lager than 0.6%, the limit crack mode can be taken as the normal section failure mode of RPC slab. Compared with the normal concrete slab, the RPC slab has many advantages such as lighter weight, higher durability, and lower total cost, so it has a hopeful future.
