EFFECTS OF HYBRID FIBERS ON SPLITTING TENSILE STRENGTH AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

This study is intended to clarify the Effects of hybrid fibers on the splitting tensile strength and compressive strength of hybrid fibers reinforced HPC. 9 different groups of hybrid fiber(containing steel fiber and polypropylene fiber) reinforced HPC specimens and 4 groups contradistinctive HPC specimens has been tested. The ratio between splitting tensile strength and compressive strength for hybrid fibers reinforced HPC has been analyzed. The reinforced and failure mechanisms have been explored. Test results show that: the tensile strength are increased by 10%-30%, and the ratio between splitting tensile strength and compressive strength for hybrid fiber reinforced HPC increase to 1/18-1/16; when steel fiber concentration were 0.8% and polypropylene fiber concentration were 0.11%, hybrid fibers reinforced high-performance concrete has been enhanced best. The Conclusion is that adding reasonable steel fiber and polypropylene fiber into high-performance concrete is helpful to increase the ductile of HPC.
