Research on Piezoelectric actuator using for Fuel Injection System of Electronic-controlled Engine
The latest generation of injectors being the heart of fuel injection system is driven by piezoelectric actuators,instead of conventional solenoi actuators.Advanced Direct injection using piezoelectric technique is the technology of near future for both gasoline and diesel engine.This paper briefly introduced the characteristics and advantages of piezoelectric actuators construction,and mentioned the construction,working principle and performance of fuel injector with piezoelectric actuators.The design principle of the piezoelectric stack actuator was given in the paper,and then the experiment and analysis of the dynamics and static characteristics for the actuator were carried out.The results of experiments have discovered that it possessed large displacement,better stability and repeatability.The results validate its responding characteristic superiority to electromagnetic actuator.
