Application and Design of the Metal Bellow sealing in the scroll machinery
The bellow sealing technology has been widely used in industries due to their advantages of reliable sealing,long service life,small friction loss,wide working range,well stability and so on.It could be used as a novel sealing and anti-rotation mechanism in the scroll machinery.With the face seal between the orbiting scroll and the frame,the bellow not only can turn the dynamic sealing into the static sealing,but also has the ability of anti-rotation about the orbiting scroll.Because the orbiting scroll and the bellow do not have the relative movement,the bellow has the ability of improving the sealing reliability and could be applied in oil free scroll machinery.This paper is mainly focus on two aspects: one is the sealing and anti-rotation principle of the metal bellows in the scroll machinery,the other is about how to design the metal bellows used in the scroll machinery.
