CARBON FIBER(CF) CONDUCTIVE CONCRETE FOR ROR ROADWAY DEICING SYSTEM
The making of CF conductive concrete and a special electrode configuration are depicted in this paper. The relationship between electric resistivity and CF volumetric content near percolation threshold is studied. The silica fume is used to reduce the electric resistivity effectively. The resistance variations with the time of hydration in half a year and heating in fifteen days are measured.The compressive and flexural strength tests are performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of CF conductive concrete. A small slab is used to investigate the heating properties of this kind of conductive concrete. The results illustrated that the carbon fiber conductive concrete in this paper has good electrical and mechanical properties for deicing or snow-melting.
