FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF COMPLICATED HIGH RISING STRUCTURE
A complicated super high-rising structure with belt trusses, outrigger trusses and transfer floors is evaluate its seismic behavior in the paper. A notable structural feature is the discontinuity of the services core along the height of the building. A 3-D finite element analysis was conducted to get the natural frequencies and inter-story drifts under different earthquake levels. Refined finite element analysis was made to get the stress distribution on service core at transfer floors. The analytical results demonstrated that the complicated structure meets the requirements of Chinese Design Code.
