CRACK AND DAMAGE REPAIRING IN CONCRETE USING ADHESIVES RELEASED INTERNALLY FROM HOLLOW CAPSULES
Self-repairing for concrete structures is designed to incorporate hollow capsules, which will release repairing adhesives when the structure is damaged due to overloading, so that the repairing adhesives will fill voids and cracks. The repaired damage will enable continued function and prevent further degradation to catastrophic failure. A finite element model of self-repairing concrete was developed by the element software of ANSYS. Full process behavior of crack and damage self-repairing was simulated. Repairing Mechanics of capsules was systematically analyzed. Finally, through experiments, correctness and rationality of the computation and analysis method were verified.
